After graduating from Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, I chose to attend John Carroll University in pursuit of a degree in Psychology. My intention was to then go to law school, but I soon realized that was not the path I wanted to take; so I left JCU in order to do some volunteer work. In the midst of this time, my grandmother was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. I immediately moved in with her and my grandfather, to help with her care. To this day, those next six months are the hardest that I have ever known. Despite everything though, I am grateful not only to have had the time with her, but also for the self discovery I experienced ; finally, I knew what I wanted to do. Shortly after she passed, the opportunity came to take my new found realization to Colorado. It didn’t take long to see which direction I wanted to go, and I decided to get my degree at the Denver School of Massage Therapy.
Upon returning to Ohio, however, I was required to go back to school. I completed my additional education at the Harmony Path School of Massage Therapy, in Rocky River, and was able to license with the Ohio State Medical Board. I have since also worked at a spa in Crocker Park. Although I am new to the team, I already feel at home. It is wonderful to work with people who are as passionate about helping others, and do so every day. I love seeing each individual’s progress, and am humbled to be a part of their journey to better health. There is no better feeling than being able to make a difference!
